Under The Ice is a role-playing game set in the harsh Arctic Circle. In this game, you the player will take on the role of a researcher, studying the wildlife surrounding your base and documenting your findings.
Setting: The game is set in a vast, snow-covered Arctic landscape. The player must research the wildlife from the comfort of their very own research-base, protecting them from the harsh climate they are inhabiting.
Gameplay: You are part of a research group based in the Arctic Circle. You and your fellow researchers are tasked with studying the wildlife in the surrounding areas of your base and documenting your findings, while also completing tasks around your base. Gameplay features include:
- Receive letters from your fellow researchers, documenting their findings as well as personal updates.
- Scan creatures with your binoculars to complete research notes.
Education: Despite eventual fictitious mutations, the flora and fauna in the game are based on real animals and plants found in the Arctic regions of our planet, the research notes the player will take down include real information about the wildlife they are studying!
